Responsible Gambling

Gambling at Gamespools should be entertaining — not stressful. This page explains the tools, policies, and resources we have in place to help Malaysian players stay in control and play safely.

⚠ Important:  If gambling is causing you distress, please call Talian Kasih 15999 (Malaysia) or reach out to our live support team immediately. Help is available 24/7.

Our Commitment to Safe Play

Gamespools takes responsible gambling seriously — not as a legal footnote, but as a genuine design principle. From the very first version of the platform, player protection tools were built into the core account system, not added as an afterthought.

We know that most players in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, and across Malaysia enjoy online gambling as a form of entertainment — sports betting on Liga Super Malaysia, a few rounds of live baccarat, or spinning slots after a long week. For the vast majority, it stays exactly that: entertainment. But we also recognise that for a small number of players, gambling can become problematic, and we have a responsibility to act.

This page sets out the tools available to you, the warning signs to watch for, and the support resources that are there if you or someone you care about needs help. We also enforce a strict minimum age of 21 years — no exceptions, no workarounds.

Age Restriction: Gamespools is strictly for adults aged 21 and above. All accounts are subject to KYC age verification. If you suspect an underage individual is using the Platform, contact us immediately at [email protected].

What Responsible Gambling Means at Gamespools
Gambling is for entertainment — not a way to earn income
Always set a budget before you start and stick to it
Never chase losses — accept them as the cost of entertainment
Take regular breaks, even during winning streaks
Don't gamble under the influence of alcohol or strong emotion
Keep gambling separate from paying bills or daily expenses
Use the account tools available to manage your play
Seek help early — don't wait until it becomes a crisis

Player Protection Tools

Every Gamespools account comes with these built-in safety tools. Access them anytime from your account dashboard — no need to contact support.

Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on how much you deposit into your Gamespools account. Limits take effect immediately and cannot be increased within 24 hours of setting — a deliberate cooling-off measure to prevent impulsive decisions.

Self-Exclusion

Choose to exclude yourself from the Platform for a set period: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, or 12 months. Once activated, self-exclusion cannot be reversed before the selected period expires, and promotional emails will be suspended automatically.

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum session duration — from 30 minutes to several hours. When the limit is reached, you will receive a clear on-screen prompt to stop your session. You can choose to end the session or extend it with a deliberate confirmation step.

Reality Check Reminders

Enable periodic reality check notifications that appear at intervals you define — every 30, 60, or 90 minutes. Each reminder shows how long you have been playing and gives you the option to pause or end your session.

Loss Limits

Set a cap on the total amount you are willing to lose in a given time period. Once your accumulated net losses reach the limit, your ability to place further bets within that period is suspended until the next reset window.

Take a Break (Cool-Off)

Not ready for full self-exclusion but need a short pause? The "Take a Break" feature lets you temporarily deactivate your account for 24–72 hours with a single click. Your account remains open but inaccessible during the break period.

Deposit Limit Reference

The table shows the default and configurable deposit limit tiers available on Gamespools. All limits are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR / RM). Players may set limits at any level up to the platform maximums shown.

Increasing a limit requires a 24-hour cooling-off period before taking effect. Decreasing a limit takes effect immediately — by design.

How to set limits: Log in to your Gamespools account → Account Settings → Responsible Gambling → Deposit Limits.
Limit Type Minimum (RM) Maximum (RM) Status
Daily Deposit Limit RM 30 RM 5,000 Available
Weekly Deposit Limit RM 100 RM 20,000 Available
Monthly Deposit Limit RM 200 RM 50,000 Available
Daily Loss Limit RM 30 RM 5,000 Available
Session Duration Limit 30 minutes Unlimited Available
Self-Exclusion Period 24 hours 12 months Available

How to Self-Exclude

Self-exclusion is the most powerful responsible gambling tool available on your account. It completely blocks access to the Platform for a period you choose. Here is how to activate it in four simple steps.

01
Log In to Your Gamespools Account

Access the Platform using your registered email and password on any device — mobile or desktop browser.

02
Navigate to Account Settings

Click your profile icon in the top-right corner, then select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.

03
Select Responsible Gambling

Within Account Settings, find the "Responsible Gambling" section. Click "Self-Exclusion" to begin the process.

04
Choose Your Exclusion Period and Confirm

Select your desired exclusion duration — from 24 hours to 12 months — and confirm. The exclusion activates immediately. A confirmation email will be sent to your registered address.

⚠ Cannot Reverse Early: Once self-exclusion is activated, it cannot be cancelled or shortened before the chosen period ends. This is intentional — it protects you from impulsive decisions to return during a difficult moment.

10 Tips for Responsible Play

These simple habits make a real difference between gambling that stays fun and gambling that becomes a problem.

01
Set a budget before you start

Decide how much you can afford to lose — then treat that amount as the price of your entertainment, win or lose.

02
Use deposit limits proactively

Set your weekly cap before payday, not after you've already deposited more than planned.

03
Never chase losses

Increasing your bets to recover losses is a pattern associated with problem gambling. Accept a bad session and log off.

04
Keep track of time

Use session time reminders — it's surprisingly easy to lose track of time during live football betting or a slot session.

05
Don't gamble to cope with stress

Using gambling to escape problems at work, in relationships, or financially is a warning sign worth taking seriously.

06
Balance gambling with other activities

Make sure gambling is just one of many leisure activities in your week — not the dominant one.

Warning Signs to Watch For

Gambling becomes a problem when it starts to affect your finances, relationships, or mental health. These are the signs that it may be time to take a step back and seek support.

Spending more money on gambling than you originally intended or can afford

Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling

Lying to family or friends about how much you gamble or how much you have lost

Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when you are not gambling

Repeatedly trying to stop or cut back on gambling but finding it difficult

Neglecting work, study, or family responsibilities because of gambling

Gambling to escape feelings of anxiety, depression, or loneliness

Continuing to gamble after receiving warnings or account limits from Gamespools

Feeling that you need to gamble with larger and larger amounts to get the same thrill

Thinking about gambling constantly, even when doing other activities

If you recognise three or more of these signs in yourself or someone close to you, we strongly encourage you to use the self-exclusion tool or contact a support organisation. There is no shame in asking for help — it takes courage.

Protecting Young People

Gamespools enforces a strict minimum age of 21 years for all registered players. No exceptions are made. Our registration process requires date of birth verification at sign-up, and full KYC identity verification — including government-issued ID — is required before any withdrawal is processed.

We strongly encourage parents and guardians in Malaysia to use parental control software on shared devices to prevent minors from accessing online gambling platforms. Many free and paid options are available. We also recommend keeping your Gamespools login credentials private and not sharing your account access with anyone, including family members.

If you discover that a minor has created or is using a Gamespools account, please report it immediately to our support team. We will act on such reports without delay: the account will be suspended, any funds will be held pending investigation, and the matter will be handled in accordance with applicable legal obligations.
